About the Currency Converter

Convert between 150+ world currencies using live mid-market exchange rates. Rates refresh automatically from a free public exchange-rate API, so the figures you see reflect the latest published interbank data. Everything runs in your browser — no account, no tracking of your amounts, and the converter keeps working with the last fetched rates if your connection drops.

This tool loads current rates from free public data services, so it needs an internet connection. The amounts you type are used in your browser only.

How to use it

  1. Pick the currency you are converting from and the one you are converting to.
  2. Type an amount — the result updates instantly as you type.
  3. Use the swap button to flip the direction of the conversion.

Frequently asked questions

How often are the exchange rates updated?

Rates are fetched from a public exchange-rate API that publishes fresh mid-market rates roughly once a day. The converter pulls the latest available data every time you open it.

Are these the same rates my bank will give me?

No. These are mid-market (interbank) rates — the midpoint between global buy and sell prices. Banks and money-transfer services add a margin or fee on top, so the rate you are quoted will usually be slightly worse than the mid-market rate shown here.

Can I use this converter offline?

Once rates have loaded, conversions are computed locally in your browser, so brief connection drops are fine. To fetch updated rates, you need an internet connection.

Which currencies are supported?

All major world currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, PKR, INR, AED and many more) plus most minor ones — over 150 in total, as published by the exchange-rate data source.
