Screen Recorder
About the Screen Recorder
Record your screen — a tab, a window, or the whole display — directly in the browser with no software to install. It is great for quick demos, bug reports, and tutorials. Recording uses your browser’s native capture, and the resulting video is saved straight to your device.
This tool works in your browser: the files and text you use are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
How to use it
- Start recording and choose what to share (tab, window, or screen).
- Perform the actions you want to capture.
- Stop recording and download the video file.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. The recorder uses the browser’s built-in Screen Capture API, so it works in modern Chrome, Edge, and Firefox with nothing to download or install.
Can it record audio too?
You can include system/tab audio and, where supported, your microphone, depending on the options your browser offers in the share dialog. Some browsers only expose tab audio, not full system sound.
Is the recording uploaded anywhere?
No. The captured video is assembled in your browser and saved locally to your device — it is never sent to a server.
What format is the saved video?
Recordings are typically saved as WebM, the format browsers produce natively. You can convert to MP4 afterwards if you need broader compatibility.
