Word Counter
About the Word Counter & Text Studio
A four-in-one text workspace: a precision counter (words, characters, sentences, lines, reading and speaking time plus Flesch-Kincaid readability), a case converter, a text repeater, and a number-to-words translator. It analyses text live as you type, entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
This tool works in your browser: the files and text you use are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
How to use it
- Paste or type into the Precision Counter to see counts, timings and readability instantly.
- Use the Case Converter tab to switch text between UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title, Sentence, camelCase, PascalCase or snake_case.
- Use the Text Repeater to duplicate a string N times, or Number to Words to spell out figures.
Frequently asked questions
How are reading and speaking times estimated?
Reading time assumes about 200 words per minute and speaking time about 130 words per minute — typical averages — so they are estimates, not exact durations.
What is the Flesch-Kincaid score?
It is a readability measure. The Reading Ease score (0–100, higher is easier) and the Grade Level are computed from average sentence length and syllables per word using the standard Flesch-Kincaid formulas.
Which case styles can it convert to?
UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase and snake_case.
Is my text private?
Yes. All counting and transformation happens locally in your browser; your text is never sent to a server.
