Flashlight
About the Flashlight
Turn your phone’s camera LED into a flashlight straight from the browser. It uses the device torch capability, so a single tap switches the real hardware light on and off. No app install, no permissions beyond camera access for the torch.
This tool works in your browser: the files and text you use are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
How to use it
- Open the tool on a phone with a camera flash.
- Tap Turn On and allow camera access when prompted.
- Tap again to turn the light off.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it need camera access?
The flashlight is the camera’s LED. Browsers expose torch control through the camera stream, so granting camera access is what lets the page switch the light on — no photos or video are captured or saved.
It says torch is not supported — why?
Torch control only works on devices (mostly Android phones) whose camera exposes a torch capability, over a secure HTTPS connection, in a supporting browser. Many laptops and some iOS browsers don’t support it.
Does it drain my battery?
Yes — a continuous LED torch uses significant power, so remember to turn it off when you’re done.
